The Commission is entrusted with the obligation of making direct placement/recruitment for various PPSC Jobs under the Government of Punjab. It is the responsibility of the commission to make recruitment for various post form grade 16 to grade 22. Whereas all those vacancies of grade 1 to 15 are filled by the concerned department through their own departmental selection procedure unless specially directed the commission to recruit personal for these grade too.
The key rule and responsibility of the commission is to ensure the spirit of merit during the selection procedure. PPSC Jobs are filled strictly on merit as well as the employment guideline of the government.
Selection Procedure
The selection procedure has been derived in line with well established procedure and Commission's Rules and regulations developed during recent times. The selection criteria start with the following steps:
Applications are invited from the individuals against the posts publicized through the press.
On detailed scrutiny of the applications of the candidates and his or her success in the written examination, further process is initiated.
In case any candidate is found ineligible in any respect under rules, his/her candidature is annulled despite the fact whether he/she has appeared in the written examination / test or qualified therein. To avoid such situation the candidates are directed in their own interest to fulfill the entire requirement before apply for the post.
Afterwards the successful candidates in the test are interviewed by a panel of the commission. Finally the selected candidates are recommended for job based on their overall performance in the test and interview.
