Pakistani's Armed Forces provide great opportunities to educated women who want to join and choose it as a career. Applications normally are invited once a year for grant of commission in Nursing Service in Pakistan Armed Forces i.e Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force. There are two type of commission details of which are as follows:

Selection procedure for Nursing service in Pakistan Armed Force
- Online registration through internet.
- Candidates can also register themselves at AS&RCs.
- Academics written/intelligence/personality tests at AS&RCs
- Interviews of successful candidates by GHQ selection Board for which separate call up letters is issued.
- Medical examination of successful candidates by medical board in Military hospitals closer to home stations.
- Final selection is made at GHQ based on overall merit prepared.
Training
Nursing cadets after the final selection undergo Nursing Training in specified military hospitals of the country. Candidates are required to stay at the Nursing Messes provided for the purposes during the period of training. After the successful completion of training, they are awarded Degree/Diploma of Nursing by the University /Pakistan Nursing Council Islamabad.
Basic Military Training (BMT) for Nurses in Pakistan Armed forces
Successful Nursing cadets are put through BMT at Armed Forces Postgraduate Medical Institute (AFPGMI), Rawalpindi before commissioning.
Grant of Commission
Nursing Cadets after successful completion of BMT are granted commission.
